Beaded Bag

Project type

Beaded Crochet Bag

Date

Sept 2024

After finishing the Victorian beaded collar, I wasn’t ready to be done with beads yet. I decided to freehand a little beaded bag, working without a pattern and just letting it come together as I went.

I used Aunt Lydia’s crochet thread and four different shades of size 6 seed beads in purples (my favorite color). The mesh body of the bag is made using Solomon’s Knot (also known as a love knot) stitches, with a beaded fringe at the bottom for extra sparkle and movement.

This one was pure experimentation, and I love how playful and shimmery it turned out.
